Scope and model check

This collection follows the Bosch US dishwasher error-code support index checked 8 September 2026. It covers 23 distinct base codes listed there. Bosch says the exact code set and repair instructions depend on the dishwasher's model number (E-Nr), so treat these pages as a starting reference, not a universal code dictionary.

Start with Bosch's official dishwasher error-code index, then open the manual for the rating-plate model. Bosch's SHX4AEF5N 100 Plus product page shows where model manuals live, while the Bosch use-and-care reference confirms the E:XX display convention.

Do not remove covers, probe live wiring, bypass a door or leak safety, or work on mains, gas or water connections unless the exact manual authorizes the step and you are qualified to do it. Shut off the water and arrange service when Bosch says to do so.

How to use this collection

Photograph the display, find the rating plate on the door edge, and use Bosch's manual lookup for the exact E-Nr. A reset can clear a temporary control state, but it does not prove that a heater, pump, leak or control-board fault is repaired. When a guide says to turn off the water, contact Bosch or call an electrician, follow that boundary.
