What E25 means
Bosch says E25 means the drain pump is blocked or its cover is loose or missing. Bosch's detailed page instructs owners to remove the filter, access the pump cover as shown, clear standing water and debris, and make sure the cover clicks back into place.

Safe checks
- Switch off the dishwasher and let the water cool. Isolate power according to the manual before reaching below the filter.
- Remove the filter and use a sponge to remove standing water. Use care because debris may be sharp.
- Open and refit the pump cover only as the exact manual shows. Clear loose debris, then confirm the cover is fully seated.
- Reset and run one rinse. If E25 returns, stop and contact Bosch support.
When to stop
Do not force a cover, reach into a pump with power connected or run the dishwasher with a missing cover. A damaged pump, broken impeller or repeat E25 needs service.
