Bosch Dishwasher E01 Error Code Fix Guide

What E01 means

Bosch lists E01 as a heat-pump motor circuit fault at the main control board. That is a control/electronics diagnosis, not proof that the pump motor itself is the only failed part. The code set varies by E-Nr, so compare the complete display with your exact Bosch manual.

Primary reference: Bosch US dishwasher error-code index.

Safe checks

  1. Note the full code and photograph the display.
  2. Press the dishwasher's power control, then isolate power using the normal household breaker only if you can do so safely. Bosch's published guidance is to reset the breaker for 30 seconds.
  3. Restore power and try one normal programme. Do not repeatedly cycle the breaker or remove the control-board cover.
  4. If E01 returns, stop using the dishwasher and arrange Bosch support or a qualified appliance technician. The service call should include the model/E-Nr and the code.

When to stop

E01 is not a safe invitation to test live wiring or replace a board by guesswork. If there is a burning smell, moisture near the base, a tripped breaker or any damaged cable, leave the appliance isolated and use service support.
