What E15 means
Bosch says E15 means the safety switch detected water in the base and activated leakage protection. Bosch's dedicated E15 guidance is explicit: turn off the water inflow and contact Bosch support.

Safe checks
- Stop the programme and turn off the dishwasher's water supply.
- Keep the appliance off. Do not tilt it, remove the base or dry the pan as a shortcut.
- Check only for visible water at the floor or nearby hose connections without pulling the machine out under tension.
- Contact Bosch or an authorised/qualified appliance technician with the E-Nr and E15 code.
When to stop
E15 is a leak-protection event, not a reset challenge. Do not run another cycle until the source of the water and the safety system have been assessed.
