What E14 means
Bosch describes E14 as a flow-meter failure or an issue with water entering the dishwasher or its filling system. It is not evidence that a valve or flow meter can be swapped without checking the E-Nr.
Primary reference: Bosch US dishwasher error-code index.
Safe checks
- Confirm the code and model/E-Nr.
- Check that the household water tap is open and the visible inlet hose is not kinked. Do not disconnect a pressurized hose.
- Reset power for 30 seconds if safe, following Bosch's published guidance.
- If E14 returns or the appliance cannot fill, turn off the water supply and arrange Bosch service.
When to stop
Stop for a wet connection, damaged hose, flooding or an inaccessible shutoff. Do not remove the inlet valve or use a mains tester at the appliance.
