Short answer: E21 on a Bosch dishwasher means the heat pump is blocked (E6002 on newer displays). Clean only the removable filter if your manual shows how, reset power for 30 seconds, and call Bosch if E21 returns. Do not dismantle the pump.
What E21 means
Bosch lists E21 as a blocked heat pump. The index does not make this a universal instruction to remove the pump; access and the meaning of a blockage vary with the E-Nr.
