What E06 means
Bosch lists E06 as a door-sensor circuit fault. The appliance may refuse to start because it cannot confirm the door state; that does not mean the latch is definitely the failed part.

Safe checks
- Remove anything protruding from the racks and wipe the door seal and latch area with a soft, dry cloth.
- Close the door firmly without slamming it. Check for a visibly bent latch or a door that sits unevenly.
- Reset the breaker for 30 seconds if safe, following Bosch's published guidance.
- If E06 returns, do not tape, wedge or bypass the latch. Contact Bosch or qualified service.
When to stop
Do not operate the dishwasher with a loose door, damaged latch, exposed wiring or a leak. The door sensor is part of a safety interlock.
