LG Dryer d80, d90 or d95 Error: Clogged Exhaust Vent
Short answer: d80 on an LG dryer means the Flow Sense system detected that the exhaust duct is about 80% blocked. d75, d90 and d95 are the same warning at roughly 75%, 90% and 95% restriction. Clean the lint screen, the transition duct behind the dryer and the wall duct out to the exterior hood. On gas models, LG notes that d80 can also mean no gas supply.
What d80 means
LG says d75, d80, d90 and d95 mean the exhaust duct is clogged; the number is the approximate percentage of restriction that the Flow Sense system detected. The dryer keeps running, but drying takes longer and the cabinet runs hotter. On gas models, LG adds that d80 can also mean the dryer is not getting gas.

Safe checks
- Let the dryer cool, then clean the lint screen. If it looks clean but water beads on it, wash off fabric-softener film with warm water and let it dry.
- Pull the dryer forward carefully and check the transition duct behind it. It should not be crushed, kinked or longer than it needs to be.
- Go outside while the dryer runs and check that the exterior vent flap opens and air flows strongly.
- Clean the wall duct between the dryer and the outside hood with a vent-cleaning brush, or have the duct professionally cleaned if it runs through walls or the roof.
- Run a cycle. The code should drop to a lower number or clear once airflow is restored.
When to stop
Stop and arrange duct cleaning if the duct runs through finished walls or a roof you cannot reach safely, if a section has come apart inside a wall or crawlspace, or if the code stays the same after the full duct is clear.
