What E17 means
Bosch lists E17 with E16 as a water-flow or filling-system issue. The two labels remain separate in the collection because the displayed code is part of the model-specific diagnosis.

Safe checks
- Photograph E17 and locate the rating-plate E-Nr.
- Check that the household shutoff is open and the visible inlet hose is straight, not pinched.
- Reset the appliance's breaker for 30 seconds if safe, then try one start.
- If E17 returns, turn off the water for any wet connection and arrange Bosch service. Do not remove the inlet valve.
When to stop
A leak, low household pressure, damaged hose or repeat E17 needs further diagnosis. Do not assume a new valve will solve it.
